ABSTRACT:
Evaluating the effects that microgravity has on Saccharomyces Pastorianus’ ability to undergo anaerobic fermentation in a pressure limited environment. A 10×180 nm sealed tube is loaded with the yeast and maltose. Once the pressure hits 1.5-1.6 PSIG, formaldehyde is released to stop the yeast’s production. Ethanol is quantified by enzymatic assay.
