ABSTRACT:
We present simulations for the Photonic-Enabled ExoPlanet Spectroscopic Sensor (PEEPSS), which uses photonic lanterns to couple light from a coronagraph’s “dark hole” into single-mode fibers. This system is proposed for use on the Habitable Worlds Observatory, where PEEPSS will act as both science channel and wavefront sensor.
