Oceanic Propagation Sensing Project

The Oceanic Propagation project was a collaboration between the University of South Florida, Florida Institute of Technology, Los Alamos National Lab, and the team now with the FSI DSTO. The purpose of the project was a technology development and demonstration that would lead to an over the horizon radar capability using naturally occurring physical aspects of the littoral environments in the tropical and subtropical regions. The project completed a demonstration to verify the science behind the technology and system modeling was accurate with a prototype installed at the Avon Park Air Force Range.

The system performed as expected and the initial demonstrations for the project were completed and removed from the Air Force Range. The project systems were stored for deployment along a coast for further testing and demonstration in the future.
