CLIMATE AND SPACE SCIENCE: PRISMA
PRISMA: Puerto Rican Initiative for Studies using Meteor Radar
WHAT IS PRISMA?
The PRISMA: Puerto Rican Initiative for Studies using Meteor Radar project led by PI Dr. Terra project was originally funded by the Puerto Rico Science, Technology & Research Trust, and focused on advancing meteor, atmospheric, and planetary research in Puerto Rico. PRISMA’s plan involved the deployment of the radar, the development of data analysis tools, and an outreach program. The PRISMA meteor radar is a SKiYMET system operating in a monostatic mode at 40.92 MHz, and 6 kW peak envelop power.
