ABSTRACT:
Jupiter’s volcanic moon Io is a bridge between the inner and outer Solar System, a link to Earth’s ultra-volcanic past, and a close cousin of tidally heated exoplanets. A returned sample from Io is the only way we can unlock Io’s secrets. Here I will show how Io sample return is possible with flight-proven technologies.
