ABSTRACT:
Mg-spinel has been identified in a range of lunar lithologies, which raises the question of its origin and relation to lunar crust formation. To better interpret the compositions and understand the implications for how they formed, we present visible-to-near and mid infrared laboratory spectra of spinel and plagioclase mineral mixtures.
