ABSTRACT:
The near-Earth asteroid 2024 YR4 will closely approach the Earth-Moon system on December 22, 2032, with a small lunar impact probability of about 4%. Observations suggest a ~60 m, rocky, rapidly rotating body. We outline adaptable mission concepts for three outcomes on science traceability matrices: lunar impact, near-lunar flyby, or distant pass.
