Celebration For GOLD Award – A Toast To Dr. Richard Eastes And His Team

From right, MJ Soileau, Vice President for Research & Commercialization at UCF, and Ramon Lugo, Director of the Florida Space Institute (FSI), raise a toast to Richard Eastes, left,  who received a $55 million grant from NASA for his GOLD research project.  The grant is the largest in UCF history and marks the first time a Florida university has led a NASA satellite mission.    About 50 supporters including UCF President John C. Hitt and Provost Tony Waldrop gathered at the FSI Friday afternoon to congratulate Eastes and his team.
